Since 2003, with the US-led invasion of Iraq the Assyrian community has been under constant murder, attacks and threats.

It’s been reported by aid organisations that more than 2000 Assyrians have now been killed in the war. It’s been seven years since and the Iraqi government despite numerous appeals by Assyrian, political, religious leaders and petitions have failed to protect and find a solution to the security of the indigenous people of Iraq.
